A new Asian Fusion dining option is coming to Kansas City’s Northland with the opening of ThaiThai Sushi Restaurant.
Located in the former Kmart complex along Northwest Prairie View Road, the restaurant is owned by Patchara “Pat” Hompan, who also operates Pho La La in Lee’s Summit, which opened last September.
ThaiThai Sushi offers a menu that blends Thai and Japanese favorites. Diners can expect a variety of soups, noodles, salads, pho, fried rice, stir-fry dishes and sushi selections. Beverage options include Thai iced tea, Thai iced coffee, jasmine tea and Japanese soda.
Dessert offerings feature classic Southeast Asian treats such as mango sticky rice, fried banana ice cream and roti served with sweet milk or chocolate.
The restaurant’s specials menu includes teriyaki chicken, sesame chicken, orange chicken, crispy fish and several curry dishes. Weekday lunch specials, served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., feature pad Thai, drunken noodles, red, green, yellow, panang and massaman curries, along with orange chicken.
Tentative hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant will be closed on Mondays.
