Mystery Build Sparks Speculation at Barry and Green Hills: Bank, Gas Station, or Booze Palace?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
What’s going up on the southwest corner of the CVS parking lot at Barry Road and Green Hills? That’s the $64,000 question lighting up neighborhood forums and social media across the Northland this week. The responses poured in faster than a drive-thru latte.

“A new Bank,” one user declared. “Gas station,” countered another. “Liquor store,” chimed in a few, prompting one to issue a public plea: “Can we please make sure we’re not spreading misinformation!!!”

One user claimed to have cracked the case, stating she saw a sign that read Chase Bank. But that prompted Nannie Mead to raise a skeptical brow, pointing out there's already a Chase just down the road near Zona Rosa.

Some residents, clearly fed up with the predictability of suburban development, offered more sarcastic clarity. “Only thing missing is a bank and/or a carwash,”  “Like every other intersection in the Northland.” The most definitive answer so far? “Vape Time Liquor,” Which, if true, would certainly give Chase a run for its money.

For now, Northlanders will have to settle for wild speculation, armchair detective work, and peeking through chain-link fences until the grand opening reveals who guessed right.
