CLAY COUNTY — Motorists on northbound Interstate 35 at Pleasant Valley Road can look forward to yet another exciting traffic experience today, as lanes will be closed for pavement repair.
The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to shut down lanes on northbound I-35 at Pleasant Valley Road from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., assuming the weather cooperates and nothing else goes sideways.
Drivers are reminded to slow down and pay attention in work zones — a suggestion that apparently still needs repeating. Not all work zones look the same, and some are brief, temporary lane closures meant to make quick repairs or clear debris before drivers notice they’re already late.
Plan accordingly, or don’t — but expect delays either way.
